Giant hogweed: safety and disposal advice

If you suspect you have giant hogweed on your own land do not touch it. Please see the eradication methods on the gov.uk website. Please be aware that it may take several years of treatment to fully eradicate.

In extreme cases The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 can be used to force landowners to take steps to eradicate giant hogweed on their land which is judged to be causing serious problems to communities.
