Jack Walker Way Consultation

Following positive feedback from residents in terms of temporary arrangements at the Jack Walker Way Junction with the A666, the Council would like to consult the public on the proposals detailed below, which are programmed to take place in early 2015.

Works will include:

  1. Take out the current traffic signals and replace them with a compact roundabout
  2. New road resurfacing
  3. Improvement in the flow of traffic from the Fernhurst estate and along the A666
  4. An additional, new zebra crossing introduced on Jack Walker Way with a narrowed carriageway
  5. Improved safety measures by means of speed reduction, benefiting all road users
  6. Retention of the existing pelican crossing on the A666.

Proposals are subject to further assessments.Deadline is Friday, January 30.
