The Mayor's Charity 2017 - 2018

This year the Mayor has adopted 4 beneficiaries for funds raised by the Mayor’s Charity these are:

East Lancashire Hospice

East Lancashire Hospice seeks to ensure that all patients with palliative care needs have access to a range of services when they need them for as long as they are needed. The Hospice respects the intrinsic value of life of each person and the privacy and dignity of each person.

Bolton Hospice

Their mission is to provide the very best specialist palliative and end of life hospice care for local people. Their care aims to improve the lives of people whose illness may not be curable. They help people to live as actively as possible after diagnosis to the end of their lives, however long that might be. They place the highest value on respect and choice. They are a charity mainly funded by local people. Together they need to raise around £3.2 million a year to continue to provide our services for free.

Eve Appeal

The Charity's vision is simple: A future where fewer women develop and more women survive gynaecological cancers.
